How LIFE+ works

LIFE + -, a pre-fabricated FRP tank, has been designed keeping in context the problems associated with the on-site treatment options presently existing. Our approach is very different from existing household septic tanks available, by providing key features often forgotten or overlooked by other manufacturers. eERG Inc. have taken the initiative to resolve the issues faced globally in the Sanitation industry.

Anaerobic digestion is a series of processes in which microorganisms break down biodegradable material in the absence of oxygen. It is used for domestic purposes to manage waste and/or to release energy. The digestion process begins with bacterial hydrolysis of the input materials to break down insoluble organic polymers, such as carbohydrates, and make them available for other bacteria. Acidogenic bacteria then convert the sugars and amino acids into carbon dioxide, hydrogen, ammonia, and organic acids. Acetogenic bacteria then convert these resulting organic acids into acetic acid, along with additional ammonia, hydrogen, and carbon dioxide. Finally, methanogens convert these products to methane and carbon dioxide. The methanogenic archaea populations play an indispensable role in anaerobic wastewater treatments.

The wastewater, after getting about 5 days of HRT, moves to the constructed wetland. A constructed wetland (CW) is an artificial wetland created for the purpose of treating the anaerobically treated wastewater from LIFE+ unit. Constructed wetlands are engineered systems that use natural functions of vegetation, soil, and organisms to treat the wastewater.

eERG Inc. have endeavoured to:

  • Reduce the impact on the environment with ZERO Pollution or contamination .
  • Deal with Both the BLACK water & the GREY water.
  • Provide the System Flat Packed for ease of transport and therefore cost effectiveness .
  • De-sludging interval as high as 3 - 4 years; a simple hand-held pump can be provided to de-sludge locally and use the sludge as soil conditioner.
